Using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology, the Lumea is designed to help reduce hair regrowth when used according to the recommended treatment schedule.

The device features 5 adjustable light-intensity settings and an integrated Skin Tone Sensor that detects skin tone and helps prevent flashing on skin tones that are too dark for IPL treatment.

Three dedicated attachments are included for different treatment areas: a 4 cm² body attachment, a 2 cm² face attachment with an additional filter, and a 2 cm² bikini attachment.

The Lumea also offers Slide & Flash mode for larger areas and Stamp & Flash mode for smaller or curved areas.

HOW TO USE

1. Carefully read the supplied user manual before first use.
2. Prepare the skin according to Philips' recommended IPL preparation instructions.
3. Select the appropriate attachment for the treatment area.
4. Turn on the Lumea and select a suitable intensity setting.
5. Perform a skin-tone and comfort assessment as recommended by Philips.
6. For larger areas, use Slide & Flash mode.
7. For smaller or curved areas, use Stamp & Flash mode.
8. Follow the recommended treatment schedule rather than treating the same area more frequently.
9. Clean the appropriate attachment after use according to the manufacturer's instructions.
10. Store the device and attachments safely in the supplied pouch.

Important: IPL is not suitable for every skin tone or hair colour. Philips states that IPL works through contrast between hair and skin pigmentation and is suitable for naturally dark-blonde, brown and black hair and fair to medium-brown skin tones (I–IV). Always check Philips' safety guidance before treatment.
